In our handheld math, science and architecture projects, we have gathered a great deal of data on complex, detailed activity, involving multiple streams of video, audio, and machine logs, coordinated with other artifacts, including written (paper) records of student work.

In our visualization project, my students, Meg Dickey Kurdziolek and Sirong Lin, and I have begun to develop a visualization tool that displays streams of activities in a way that emphasizes interaction.
