I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Virginia Tech. I have been at Virginia Tech since the fall of 2012. My advisor is Dr. Danfeng (Daphne) Yao. Before I came to Blacksburg, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Information Security from University of Science and Technology of China in 2012.

My research interests focus mainly on leveraging Big Data techniques to address Cyber Security challenges. My current work focuses on detecting Android malware in market-scale. Additional research interests consist of data leak detection, program analysis and anomaly detection. See my CV for more info.

My research has been covered by major media outlets such as The Sun, The Hill, ACM TechNews, Business Insider, Daily Mail, Science Daily, New Scientist and many others. See the Press page for more details.
