Nicholas F. Polys, Ph.D.

I have been working to build compelling interactive 3D visualization systems since 1998 (. I am currently Director of Visual Computing for Virginia Tech Advanced Research Computing. It an exciting mix of research, mentoring, managing high-performance visualization facilities, and developing web-based and immersive visualizations for the lastest computational science and e-Design applications! As an Affiliate Professor in the Department Computer Science where I teach classes such as Intro to HCI, Media Computation, Graphics and GUI Programming, HCI Capstone, or Information Visualization and Virtual Environments. I have also been recently appointed to VT's Health Sciences Faculty.
