I am a 2nd year Masters Student in the Computer Science department of Virginia Tech. I am part of the SyNeRGy lab and my advisor is Dr. Wu-chun Feng. My thesis work is on implementing, optimizing and modeling parallel applications related to Bio-Informatics on emerging parallel hardware architectures like the Cell Broadband engine and the GPGPU.

Prior to my stay in Virginia, I worked for two years at National Instruments, Bangalore, India. Before that I obtained my B.E degree from R.V.College of Engineering affiliated to the Visweswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka.
