I graduated from the Computer Science department of Virginia Tech in June 2008, with
a Master of Science (M.S.) degree, and currently working towards a Ph.D in the same university. I am an active member of the
SyNeRGy lab and my advisor is Dr. Wu-chun Feng. I currently work on optimizing and modeling parallel algorithms related to large scale epidemiology simulations and
genomic sequence search on heterogeneous accelerator-based cluster environments.
I also develop programming models and performance prediction models to determine the optimal algorithm-architecture
mapping in heterogeneous CPU-GPU computing systems.
I also have industry work experience at Microsoft (based in Redmond, WA) with a team called System Center Virtual Machine Manager and at National Instruments, Bangalore, India with a team called Measurement Studio. Before that I obtained my B.E degree from R.V.College of Engineering affiliated to the Visweswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka.
