RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in human-computer interaction with a special interest in information visualization. In my research, I explore the ways that the physical size and increased number of pixels available with large, high-resolution displays change basic visualization design principles. One such design principle is the tradeoff between multiple simple views and a single complex view when integrating spatial and multidimensional information. I am also interested in new ways that information visualizations might exploit the additional display space, the design of collaborative visualizations for both remote and co-located groups, and in the usability of current software for multiple monitor displays.
