It's the premier conference on virtual reality techniques, technology and application. This year's conference has a strong emphasis on human factors and interaction. Issues on the papers program include: human performance in collaborative virtual environments (VEs) navigation and wayfinding in large VEs interaction techniques for the 3D VE interface effects of time delay effects of multisensory input on memory and presence vestibular cues cybersickness And in the tutorials program (which I chair with Larry Hettinger): The art and science of 3D interaction (full day) The app of VR for cognitive assesment (half day) Dynamic level of detail (half day) The latter tutorial discusses many human factors issues, including visual perception and effects of time delay. The early registration deadline for the conference is this Friday Feb 26. You can register online at http://www.vetl.uh.edu/vr99/.
