Shumin Zhai did some extensive work on human factor of the 3D input devices in spatial manipulation task. Silk Cursor is also one of his well known inventions. Chris Shaw who is Assistant Professor at the University of Regina now, was one of the creators of the MR Toolkit at the University of Alberta which was one of the very first software tools for VR development.
