Dear colleagues:
        The Third Workshop on Virtual Reality (WRV 2000) is the main event in
Virtual Reality in Latin America. Its scope is to serve as a forum for
discussions
and dissemination of studies, research projects, and applications in
relevant areas
of virtual reality.
        WRV 2000 will be held in October 16-18 on the mountains of the Rio
Grande do
Sul state (south of Brazil), in the touristic city of Gramado, near
Porto Alegre.
Gramado is characterized by the influence of the German immigration in
the region.
With its Bavarian architectural style and surrounded by beautiful
mountains, Gramado
provides an excellent environment for conferences and meetings.
        The planned activities for the WRV 2000 include: tutorials, invited
talks,
poster exhibition, technical sessions for presentation of selected
papers, and
demonstration of virtual reality devices and applications.
