Cosmo Software used to be Paragraph International before they got bought by SGI. They were doing cool handwriting recognition engines - they gave one to HITL for immersive handwriting (Virtual Notepad) project. There also was a talk about CosmoGL and SGI Optimizer is supposedly built on top of it. However I could not really find much info on CosmoGL when I looked through SGI pages (though documentation for CosmoGL is online). I wonder if they killed it too ...
