Anders, et al I will second Ernst's recommendation of the Kaiser Proview XL series they offer 30, 40 and 50 deg FOV. These are by far the most comfortable fitting HMDs I've ever tried. Kaiser also does a good job on the optics. Resolution is 1024 x768 and cost is between $15k and $20kUS (i believe). Std cable is 20ft. If you really really gotta have more FOV, then your are going to pay for it. Check the Kaiser SIMEYE XL100 between 64 deg H to 108 deg Horz (depending on overlap 100-20 ). Res is 1024x768. Cost is about $75K US. Cable length can be an issue. Cables are often the weak point in AV systems. They are great antennas, if not properly shielded. Many transient problems can be traced to cables. With good cables and some signal boost, you should be able to run 100ft or more. Multimedia room designers often spend a LOT of time on proper cabling, amps, grounding, etc. You might seek out the help of one of these professionals.
