SOLICITATION FOR SPECIAL ISSUE
Virtual Reality for Product Development
JCISE is inviting research papers and technical notes from leading
researchers for a special issue on applications of virtual reality (VR)
technology throughout the product development process, including design,
analysis, manufacturing, and production. Topics may include, but are not
limited to, the following:
* Virtual prototyping
* VR in engineering analysis
* Collaboration architectures
* Manufacturing process analysis
* Immersion studies
* VR-based training/education
* Process integration issues
* Human-in-the-loop simulation
* Haptics applications
* Factory and production cell layout
* Shape design and aesthetics
* Human-machine interface design
* Real-time simulation
* Collaborative design reviews
* Assembly, maintenance, and serviceability
* Business/financial data analysis

Publication of special issue - March, 2004 Letter of Intent If you plan
to submit a paper to this Special Issue, please email the Title, list of
authors, and a short abstract to one of the Guest Editors by May 15.
