Research Interests
As of Spring 2005, my past research interest was notification systems, my current is assistive technology, and my future interest is large screen displays.
Gigapixel
From summer 2005 to spring 2006 I will work on the GigaPixel project with Dr. North. The project deals with large screen high resolution displays, and methods of interacting with them. More will come as I learn more about it myself.

Assistive Technology
I worked in the Assitive Technology Lab as a graduate assistant from fall 2004 to spring 2005, and all my semester projects during that time revolved around assistive technologies (AT). AT is any technology that helps people, and is quite broad. It is often associated with technology for users with disabilities, but the technology that makes activities possible for users with disabilities still makes things much easier for users with abilities. Just think about elevators or automatic doors.
Notification Systems
Throughout my undergrad career, I focused on notification systems (NS). A NS is a device that is built to perform in a situation where you have two tasks, such as writing a paper and waiting for email. Your primary task would be the paper that you are writing in the word processor, and the notification system would inform you of the incoming emails. Successful notification systems balance the fact that you need to be informed of important emails, and yet you don't want to interrupt your paper writing. I completed several projects in the area of notification systems, and here are my publications.
