- parallel genomic sequence-searching (http://www.mpiblast.org).

My current research is in efficient parallel systems for high-performance computing under the advisement of Dr.Wu-chun Feng and Dr. Eli Tilevich as part of the Systems, Networking, and Renaissance Grokking (SyNeRGy) team in the Computer Science Department at Virginia Tech.

** I don't believe in the "publish or perish" philosophy but rather the "contribute constructively" philosophy. If I can contribute to society without publishing, that is fine with me. For this reason, making significant contributions to these projects and publications is important. Of course, it's nice to be an author of a publication too. :-)
