About Me

I am a 2nd year PhD student working in DLRL. Currently, I am managing our 20 nodes Hadoop Cluster, which is a distributed framework/environment for CS5604 and CS6604 in VT. I am also taking over the data (e.g., tweets, webpages) crawling task by leveraging yourTwapperKeeper, Social Feed Manager and Event Focus Crawler. My research mainly focuses on Hadoop and tweet analysis. Recently, I am working on event topic analysis, historical short URL analysis and gender classification in Twitter. When I have free time, I like playing pool and table tennis, and try my best to become a photographer.
