The Flight In

View of something some somewhere.

This place turns out to be Sydney; zoom 100X and you can see the Opera House.

Just the coast, but freaking beautiful.

Port Douglas "Rainforest Wildlife Habitat Sanctuary"

Jen and I chillin with some 'Roos.

Jen hand feeding a 'Roo.

I don't remember what "Australian Macropod" this is, but very 'Roo-esque.

Giant rainforest bird called a Cassowary.

GIANT STORKS, GIANT NEST, wee-little baby.

I suppose a Croc picture would be in order.

The Reef Casino and Zoo

Jen and I on top of the "Reef Casino".

Koala in the Reef Casino Zoo.

Rainbow lorikeets. Not my favorite bird, but maybe the prettiest.

Red-tailed black cockatoo; good bird, loves the almond.

Female and male Eclectus parrots. Male biting the crap out of me.

Snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef

Upolu Cay, we played here for hours. About 30' in diameter.

Look at this water.

Don't we just look so cool.

I believe it's called a "Clown Trigger" fish.

Jen and I swam with this sea turtle for a while.

We found some Nemo's.

Who's this cool guy? He's one awesome snorkeler!

A bunch of fish and the reef.

A purple starfish, these were everywhere.

Rainforest Adventure

Looking out towards the Coral Sea.

One of my stupid artsy photos. Some Aussie fern.

"Pretty-faced kangaroos". Very happy to see these in the wild.

Rainforest creek bed.

Stinging Tree. Leaf surface holds silica hairs containing 'poison',
inflicting pain for upto three months. Achtung!

I forget what tree, but more stupid artsy crap.

Giant strangler fig called the Curtain Fig.

Park Name

We found a croc while wandering through a park. Yikes!
There is a children's playground ~50 feet past the lake edge here. Crazy ex-convicts.

Oh, there's a sign, I guess the children will be safe now.

Northern Beaches

Palm Cove, north of Cairns.

Marina at Port Douglas.

Kuranda Trip

A waterfall. Would have loved to see during the rainy season.

Kuranda Butterfly Gardens.

River-crossing on Kuranda Skyrail gondola.

A much smaller waterfall.

Looking towards Cairns (hidden behind mountains) from Skyrail.

Us!

This is the Kuranda Skyrail.

Goodbye Cairns!
