I received BS and MS degree in Computer Science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.  Currently, I am pursuing PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.  My PhD studies and research is funded by Fulbright Scholarship under Fulbright Foreign Student Program.

I am working in Distributed Systems & Storage Laboratory, and doing my research under the guidance of Dr. Ali R. Butt.  I am interested in designing and developing highly scalable programming models for asymmetric clusters comprising of heterogeneous nodes for high-performance computing.  I am particular interested in large systems which are built from off-the-shelf commodity computing components (e.g. accelerators, GPUs, x86 machines etc.) and developing highly scalable, fault tolerant, and easy to use programming models which hide the asymmetry of underlying architecture from the system programmers.
