Class Meeting Times and Contact Info
Graduate Student Standing in CS. There are no formal pre-requisites
but one or more of CS5114 (algorithms), CS5485 (numerical analysis),
CS5604 (information retrieval), CS4604/5614 (database systems) would
be beneficial. Background in basic statistics (one or more of STAT 5104,
STAT 5114, STAT 5615-6) is recommended.
Students from departments such as STAT, BIO, MATH, and ECE who are
working in interdisciplinary research (e.g., bioinformatics, modeling,
data analysis) are especially encouraged to take this course.
