About Me

I am a graduate student working with Dr. Layne Watson in scientific and parallel computing. I am interested in parallel algorithms, remote sensing, image and signal processing, numerical analysis, and machine learning. I frequently collaborate with Dr. Christine Blinn and Dr. Randy Wynne. I am exploring scalable parallel algorithms that apply to remote sensing and machine learning (specifically clustering) to perform classification.

I am a member of the Center for High End Computing and Systems (CHECS) and the Laboratory for Advanced Scientific Computing and Applications (LASCA).

I regularly teach Numerical Methods (CS/Math 3414), a class that covers commonly used numerical algorithms and applications in science and engineering. This past year I instructed the first year engineering (EngE 1024, 1114) workshops.

I am an active member of the Virginia Tech chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the computer science honors society, and the Computer Science Graduate Council.

If you are interested in my research or graduate student life at Virginia Tech, feel free to contact me using the contact information listed above.
