Four recent Rutgers CS graduates will be discussing their career experiences at the Rutgers Emerging Scholars in Computer Science (RESCS) Career Night on November 1st, 2006:
David Tabora - College of Engineering Class of 1999 (BS Electrical
Engineering), 2001 (MS Electrical Engineering),
Goldman Sachs
Dave Tabora is a Senior Technology Analyst supporting the Investment
Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. He is the coordinator of the logical
Database group within Banking Technology where he is responsible for
developing application development best practices and evaluating tools
for database development. In addition, he is a lead database and .NET
developer in the area of market data.
Karen Kanu, Livingston College Class of 1999 (B Sc.CS)
Thomson Financial
Karen Kanu is a Systems Support Analyst with Thomson Financial. Her
primary role involves supporting the Thomson One server network and
infrastructure. Her current responsibilities include working with
Software Development and QA teams to develop, test and deploy software
that is capable of supporting current market trends and meeting the
business needs of their diverse customer base.
Nick Smoley, Rutgers College Class of 2003, Dual major
in CS & Physics, nFusion Interactive
LLC,
Nick Smolney is the Producer at nFusion Interactive LLC, a
growing development studio located in Manalapan NJ. In addition to
overseeing the development of an unannounced next-gen title, he helps
out the local game development community by volunteering his time to
the International Game Developers Association and teaching game
courses part time at NJIT. Nick has previously held
management/programming/testing positions at other local game companies
including Sonic Branding Solutions, Gameloft, and Majesco.
