My thesis focuses on developing a middleware framework for updating the state of distributed object graphs in-place by efficiently calculating and serializing the delta. Consequently, this approach minimizes bandwidth usage, which is one of the key factors in determining the network speed. My current work involves studying the effectiveness of the approach in enabling a more powerful call-by-copy-restore semantics in Java RMI.
