i have been a student at virginia tech since 1999. as an undergraduate student, i was engaged in research under the vturcs program. my interest in research began to grow and i decided to join graduate school. currently, i am a phd student working in the field of human-computer interaction.

i am involved with the research experience for undergraduates in hci or reu in hci program. the program brings undergraduates from other universities to gain research experience within the center for hci.

i completed an internship at ibm tj watson in the social computing group in the summer of 2006.  summer of 2007 was spent at ibm almaden in the user group.

my research interests:

-hci
-reuse
-design methodology
-notification systems
-social software
-analytic evaluations

my current research is on methodologies for reusing design knowledge and creating design representations.  if you'd like to know more about what i'm working on, here's a short description.

my advisor is Scott McCrickard and he runs the notification systems research group at virginia tech.
