I'm currently a Ph.D student in Virginia Tech, majoring in Computer Science. I'm also working as a research assistant in NDSSL Lab in VBI institute of Virginia Tech. My current work involves with social network analysis and distributed memory computing, and my past work mainly involved with image processing, computer vision, multimedia analysis and machine learning.
After trading several years in Chinese stock market, I found myself deeply interested in finance. So I recently began some research on quantitative finance area, especially financial network modelling.
I attended BASIS in Oct. 2009, which is a student-run fixed income funding scaling at $4.2 million, or 1% of endowment of Virginia Tech. My major work there is to analyze treasury bonds, as well as to work on inflation modelling.
I also served as an associate editor of iChina Magazine in the past.
I like to listen to music and play guitar in my leisure time. Sports such as soccer, tennis, are my favorite too.

This is a course project in which a prototype of a stock database is built. It contains tables for market, user's portfolio and trading log. Further, user can input a day and a bunch of stocks to the system. Then based on build-in strategy, the system will automatically generate trading strategy, trade the stocks and update the user's portfolio database. User can also view trading logs, make hard queries to any of the databases, etc. Enter>>
