Call for Papers ICTAI 2003 15th IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON TOOLS WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Sacramento, California, November 3-5, 2003 http://sierra.ecs.csus.edu/ Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society The annual IEEE International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence (ICTAI) provides a major international forum where the creation and exchange of ideas relating to artificial intelligence are fostered among academia, industry, and government agencies. The conference facilitates the cross-fertilization of these ideas and promotes their transfer into practical tools for developing intelligent systems and pursuing artificial intelligence applications. ICTAI encompasses all the technical aspects of specifying, developing, and evaluating the theoretical underpinnings and applied mechanisms of AI tools. SCOPE We invite paper submissions that include but are not limited to the following topics: * AI in Bioinformatics * AI in Multimedia Systems * AI in Real-time and Embedded Applications * AI in Database and Data Mining * AI in Software Engineering * AI in Games * AI in E-commerce * AI in Medicine * Cognitive Modeling * Collaborative Software Agents * Fuzzy Logic and Reasoning Under Uncertainty * Evolutionary Computing * Intelligent Tutoring/Training Systems * Intelligent Internet Agents * Intelligent Interface Agents * Knowledge-based Systems * Knowledge Representation and Ontology * Intelligent Information Retrieval * AI Algorithms * Knowledge Management and Sharing * Machine Learning * Neural Networks * NLP and Speech Understanding * AI in Robotics * Qualitative Reasoning * Planning and Scheduling * Hybrid Intelligent Systems * Vision and Image Processing SPECIAL TRACKS This year's ICTAI includes the following special tracks.
