Hi, I'm Zeke!

I am in my first year as a PhD student at Virginia Tech, in the field of Computer Science. I am focusing on quantum computing, especially in the context of cryptography and complexity theory.

Current Focus

I am working to explore (relatively) near-term blind quantum computation. This includes investigating what is possible with a purely classical client (I am interested in both positive and negative results).

Undergraduate Work

My undergraduate degrees are in Mathematics and Computer Science from LeTourneau University, with a minor in Physics. I did much to busy myself outside of class, including research, tutoring, various leadership roles, and even rugby. I was able to publish a number theory paper in the Ramanujan Journal during my time as an undergraduate, which currently is the lonely occupant of my publications section. But check back soon, as I continue my work!

Contact

I am always happy to talk about my work, or to discuss opportunities for collaboration. Feel free to contact me at ecochran [at] vt [dot] edu.

And while you're here, Rufus is excited to keep you company!
