- Bo Ji was invited to give the Renouard Distinguished Lecture at the School of Engineering and
Applied Science, Gonzaga University.
- Daphne Yao gave an invited talk at Zhejiang University.
- Daphne Yao received an Inspiring Innovator Award from Virginia Tech's LINK+LICENSE+LAUNCH.
- PhD student Xinyu Yang received a 2022 Black Hat Student Scholarship. Xinyu is advised by Peng Gao.
- Kurt Luther and PhD student Vikram Mohanty received a People's Choice Award from an NSF I-Corps (national)
cohort for their team's final presentation.
- MS Student Emma Meno was a finalist for the COE Torgersen Graduate Student Research Excellence Award.

- Daphne Yao joined the Steering Committee for NDSS.
- Dan Williams will serve as Program Committee Co-chair for USENIX ATC 2023
- Bo Ji will serve as Workshop Co-Chair for IEEE INFOCOM 2023
- Bo Ji was named a Senior Member of the ACM.
- Dawei Zhou has joined the editorial board of Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery.
- Dawei Zhou will serve on the senior program committee for CIKM 2022.
- Na Meng received the Distinguished Reviewer Award from the 30th International Conference on Program
Comprehension (ICPC 2022).
