This is a video of a live performance at the “Listening Machines” concert in Georgia Tech. Center for Music Technology. There were 4 performers on the night all using kinect to create music. Crossole uses a grid system, placing virtual blocks on different squares creates a sequence. Then you can save the sequence and replay it while playing a new sound on top. The interesting thing here is that this is all controlled by gestures using kinect. Sang Won Lee not only helped create this but puts in a fine performance being joined near the end by a guitarist. Then I got really interested as the control seemed to change to midi controllers adding effects to the sound. Love to see a tutorial on this.
