CS 4644 | A Kelliher | Creative Computing Studio |
In this interdisciplinary studio capstone, Computer Science students will
collaborate with Design and Business students in
imagining, designing, and evaluating computational systems for diverse
populations. Working in teams, the students will identify
authentic human problems, explore the opportunity design space, use diverse
materials to create prototypes, and engage in
iterative cycles of testing, refining, and evaluating design products and
experiences. Throughout the semester, student teams
will document their design and production process as dynamic annotated
portfolios and engage in weekly critique sessions with
instructors and invited guests. CS Students interested in this capstone
experience are strongly encouraged to also sign up for
a 3 credit independent design study (IDS 3204), which will be taught by
Akshay Sharma directly after this capstone
studio. This capstone experience is generously sponsored through a grant from
the Institute of Creativity, Arts and Technology.
Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in CS 3724.
