Kevin, It's not really 3D UI (yet), but Weather Decision Support System II, coming soon from Natianal Severe Storms Lab in Oklahoma, uses XML for its dervied products. WDSS II uses radar data to compute rainfall, detect mesocyclones, detect tornados, etc etc. The radar image itself is not in XML, but the many many files derived from the radar image are in XML. As far as I know, the XML usage is fairly straightforward in describing geometry of weather events derived from radar images. > 1. Use of schemas for describing geometries and other multimedia > 2. Use of schemas for dynamically building context sensitive GUIs > 3. Use of XML RPC in visualization, perhaps with respect to CVEs -- Chris Shaw Senior Research Scientist GVU Center cdshaw@cc.gatech.edu College of Computing Georgia Tech http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~cdshaw
