Subject: [Web-CAT-announce] Welcome to Web-CAT-announce


For the first-ever message on this mailing list, I thought I'd pass along some recently collected stats on Web-CAT's usage. To date, Web-CAT has processed:

      86,960 submissions
from 1248 distinct students
in 55 separate course sections

About 10,463 final assignment grades have been generated (i.e., the final grade on the last submission for a given assignment by one student), so students are averaging 8.3 submissions per assignment.

The total file data submitted by all students so far (just the zip or jar files containing submissions, not including any servergenerated  output/reporting/compiled binaries/etc) takes up approx 1.76GB ( that is zip-compressed).
