Please answer the following questions using your own words.

 

Q1. (10 pts) Explain the necessity of a tunneling consistency mechanism as introduced by the regional registration framework (In other words, if such mechanism is not provided, what are the consequences?).

 

Q2. (10 pts) Explain how a regional FA (RFA) is capable of authenticating future regional registration requests by a MH, in the context of the regional registration framework.

 

Q3. (10 pts) Explain the reasoning behind deploying both Paging caches and Routing caches in Cellular IP. (In other words, Why not use one cache to maintain both mappings?)

 

Q4. (20 pts) HAWAII and Cellular IP rely on host-based routing (host-specific routing entries in selected routers). Summarize the type, purpose, and processing of control messages used to maintain such host-based entries in both approaches.
