CS 6604: Visual Analytics Fall 2010 Instructor: Chris North The goal of this course is to survey the various analytical methods used by analysts in various data-intensive domains, such as intelligence-, financial-, and cyber-analytics. Students will learn about the science of analytical reasoning, data representations and transformations, and visual representations and interaction techniques. Students will learn how to analyze structured and unstructured data, to use analytical tools, and to develop new analytical support tools. These skills will be a valuable asset to students in an information-intensive work place. Enrollment is by permission of the instructor.
