CS 4784: Human-Computer Interaction Capstone Scott McCrickard Spring 2016 Mobile Design for Health and Wellness This project-based course will explore ways to design mobile interfaces in support of health and wellness of people and/or their caregivers. Projects will leverage how sensed information and self reports can support healthy habits and behaviors. Projects will be client-based, ensuring focus on real-world problems. Target development areas can include people with cognitive or physical disabilities, and people with a particular need for health and wellness technologies. Classroom time will be dedicated to group design activities, including ones crafted by the professor as well as ones crafted by capstone participants. The course will focus on design and programming but will also include significant amounts of reading, writing, groupwork, presentation, and testing. Prerequisites: - CS 3724 Intro to HCI is a must - Either CS 3744 or CS 3714 is helpful - Relevant work experiences or strong interest can substitute
