CS 4844: Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Capstone Lenwood S. Heath Spring 2016 This course emphasizes team-based projects in current problems in computational biology and bioinformatics. Examples include computational genomics, metagenomics, and molecular structure analysis. Implementations are likely to require novel methods developed after examining the current literature. Class time will include discussing these methods from the literature, design and implementation techniques, and team status and progress. CS 3824, Introduction to Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, is a prerequisite. Exceptions may be made for students with a strong background in algorithms and some biology.
