Paper Presentation
- Presentation for each paper in the class (two papers in total) should last 20-25 minutes, if uninterrupted. The goal is to ensure that the technical content of the paper is presented before jumping to the technical strengths and technical weaknesses of the paper.
- Any questions, particularly provocative and thought-provoking ones, should be answered by the presenter first. The presenter is the one that should demonstrate an understanding and mastery of the paper content.
- Other students are going to limit interruptions to only clarify what is being presented. Questions and discussion happen at the end of each paper presentation, which last about 10-15 minutes for each paper.
- Your presentation will be graded based on the following six criteria. A score (out of 10) will be given for each item in the following list.
- Presentation of technical content
- Demonstrated understanding/mastery of the paper
- Presentation of technical strengths
- Presentation of technical weaknesses
- Concrete ideas on what to do differently to improve the paper
- Discussions
The score of each presentation will be provided to the presenter no late than the end of each week. Detailed feedback of each presenter can be provided upon request. |
