About Me

I received my Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in May 2026, advised by Ali R. Butt and Kirshanthan Sundararajah. Before that, I received my B.E. in Software Engineering from Northeastern University (China) in 2020.

My research focuses on system + compilers to improve program performance, with the following aspects:

  • Opportunistically branch elimination in the middle-end by melding IR instructions.
  • Memory tiering in PL virtual machine to exploit object-level semantics to drive fine-grained tiering decisions beyond page-granularity OS tiering.
