Dr. Sehrish Basir Nizamani holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of Sindh, Pakistan, where she worked on "Usability Evaluation of the websites of higher education institutes of Pakistan." She is currently a Collegiate Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Virginia Tech, where she joined in Fall 2023.

Academically driven educator and researcher with 17+ years of experience across teaching, research, and academic service. Her work blends human–computer interaction, usability and culture, digital education, and natural language processing, with a focus on improving learning and user experience in real contexts.
