From: edwards at cs.vt.edu (Stephen Edwards) Date: Wed Sep 28 14:56:33 2005 Subject: [Web-CAT-announce] Web-CAT now supports staff submissions from external sources Message-ID: <433AE74F.5090302@cs.vt.edu>
Several minor Web-CAT changes have be placed into operation
in the last couple of weeks. So people can keep tabs on what is
happening, I opened a poor knockoff of a blog on the Web-CAT
Wiki:
http://web-cat.cs.vt.edu/WCWiki/WebCatDevelopmentBlog
The latest news is that TAs and instructors can now submit assignments from external tools (e.g., BlueJ or Eclipse) without being enrolled in their course. That is a frequently requested feature, so it is now available. Soon, I'll fix the Submit tab so that it shows the courses you are instructing (or TAing for) rather than just those you are enrolled in, and then course staff will never need to be enrolled in their own courses again (which is how it always should have been :-)).
I'll try to keep the development blog updated as I make small changes, so those who are interested can follow along. I'll only make announcements of the bigger improvements or frequently requested features on this list. Thanks.
