From: edwards at cs.vt.edu (Stephen Edwards) Date: Tue Nov 29 23:10:12 2005 Subject: [Web-CAT-announce] New graphs in Web-CAT Message-ID: <438D2603.2040905@cs.vt.edu>
Although there have been many small upgrades to Web-CAT over the
past month, the biggest just went on-line. Web-CAT now supports
dynamic graph generation for some basic information for students.
Students can now see a bar graph showing the current score distribution
for an assignment, a time-series graph showing their score across
submissions broken down into its correctness/testing and style/
coding components, and an alternate view of the same series showing
where the most potential for improvement lies (i.e., which part of
their score they lost the most points on).
Instructors can also see the number of submissions made by students across the class.
You can access graphs under the results tab, or directly using the tiny graph icon next to assignments on the home page.
I'll probably add more in the future, now that Web-CAT is over the hump of providing the first ones. Any suggestions for needed views (and where they should be placed) are welcome.
