About Me

I am a first year Ph.D. Student in Computer Science at the Discovery Analytics Center at Virginia Tech. My advisor is Dr. Chandan K. Reddy.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India. As a part of my undergraduate studies, I also worked as a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University under Dr. Kathleen Carley.

Research

My research interests lie in the field of Machine Learning, with emphasis on Text Mining and Natural Language Processing. I am particularly interested in developing techniques associated with Topic Modeling and Deep Learning, that can be useful to discover meaningful information from text data.
